JPS Global Investments, LLC is a San Diego-based investment advisor, focusing on sustainable investing. It is our belief that one does not have to sacrifice return potential by adding environmental and social criteria to the investment process. As a long-term investor, we believe that over time companies that create and maintain sustainable businesses, will outperform those that have unsustainable business models. As such, our strategy has financial, societal, and environmental rewards, which are all paramount to our clients' future.

Technology and Service are essential to JPS Global Investments. Our brokerage and custody services are provided by Shareholders Service Group (SSG).  SSG is a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation, SIPC. SSG uses the services of Pershing, a clearing firm with over $450 billion in client assets. Pershing is a subsidiary of the Bank of New York.

As such, the firm’s goal is to invest its clients’ assets in a manner that is consistent with their risk tolerance, return objective, and personal values. The Founder

JPS Global Investments was founded in 2006 by Jan Schalkwijk, CFA.  What prompted the firm's founding was a perceived need of investors for greater access to sustainable investments, particularly with regards to the environment. JPS Global Investments seeks to meet this need through a focused investment management platform, allowing investors to meet their financial goals without compromosing their values.

Mr. Schalkwijk has 10 years of experience in the investment industry and was vice president of investment platforms at Franklin Templeton Investments, prior to founding JPS Global Investments.  Mr. Schalkwijk received his bachelor of science degree from Menlo College and his master of business administration from Santa Clara University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of San Diego.
